Animal Ark is proud to offer educational resources to our local Washoe County Schools, including educational videos, field trips, and more!
Educational outreach is handled by our Education Manager.
Field trip prices are applicable to accredited schools, charter schools, and home schools. If you have questions about group rates please contact our Education Manager.

During a field trip to the Animal Ark Wildlife Sanctuary, students will learn about our resident animals, each with a captivating story to share. Our staff and volunteers will lead aneducational guided tour of the facility. Each visit is tailored to be age-appropriate and aligned with your academic goals. Students will leave with a deeper understanding of the natural world and their role within it. These tours are an intimate and personal look at our mission at Animal Ark and will be sure to engage your wild side!
Tours last approximately 90 minutes. We offer picnic tables and an outdoor play area at our facility, providing a perfect spot for lunch after your tour.
Please note that groups must include at least 8 children in order to book.

Pricing:
Standard Field Trips are $8 for adult chaperones and $6 for children.
Title One School pricing is $6 per adult chaperone and $4 per child.
Redfield sponsored schools receive grant funding for child tickets, but adult chaperones are $6 each.

Ark Encounters: Critter Close-Ups — $200
Bring Animal Ark’s ambassador animals to you. Each 45 to 60-minute presentation combines live animal appearances with engaging lessons about wildlife adaptations, habitats, and conservation. Participants also explore replica skulls, tracks, and other educational artifacts that bring science to life.
Every encounter is unique, offering an unforgettable opportunity to connect with wildlife and understand the important role these species play in our world.
Duration: 45 to 60 minutes
Cost: $200 per program
Programs are subject to animal cooperation, schedule availability, and weather conditions.Ark Encounters: Wild Discoveries (No Live Animals) — $150
This 45 to 60-minute presentation focuses on wildlife education through interactive materials such as replica skulls, tracks, pelts, and visuals. Participants discover how animals adapt, communicate, and survive in their natural habitats through engaging stories and hands-on exploration. Wild Discoveries provides the same educational excitement and connection to wildlife without live animal participation.

With “Animal Ark: Coming to the Classroom,” elementary schools can arrange an in-person, interactive presentation, free of charge, without the hassle and expense of arranging a bus, paying for a field trip, or making up missed instructional time. Information about the sanctuary, its animals, and the animal species will be covered, and opportunities for other presentations, field trips, or family visits will be provided.
As a bonus, one free VIP pass will be raffled off at the end of each presentation.
