History: This barn owl was injured in the wild near Morgan Hill California. After spending some time at the Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation Center (W.E.R.C.), it was determined that the owl had muscle damage in the right eye. Because of this, Morgan could not be released back into the wild. Animal Ark was contacted on a recommendation by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. The necessary permits were obtained and Morgan arrived at the Ark on April 26, 2005.
